Thinking of joining a nonprofit board, but not sure what that means? Already on a board and want a refresher on your responsibilities as a board member? Attend this training from Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development!

We'll cover the basics of what every board member should know, including your legal duties and your primary responsibilities. We'll also talk about your role in the organization and common board structures and management styles. You'll walk away with a better understanding of what being a board member really means and ideas for how to reinvigorate your board.

 This training will be led by Rachel Mattingly, Program Manager for Prosperity Indiana. Rachel provides training and consulting to boards and organizational leaders around the state. She also has experience acting as a board member, currently serving as Board President of the Southeast Neighborhood School of Excellence in Indianapolis.

This training has been organized by Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development (HAND), with support from Old National Bank Foundation. Additional trainings in this series include Neighborhood Association and Homeowners Association Basics, scheduled for July, and Local Advocacy Basics, scheduled for October.
